Our AML and Verification Policy
We hold licence OGL/2023/176/0095 issued in Curaçao, and with that licence comes a set of anti-money-laundering (AML) obligations we take seriously. This page explains, in plain terms, when we verify your identity, which documents we ask for, how we monitor transactions and what happens if verification is not completed. No surprises, no fine print tricks.
Our AML Commitment
Rollero Casino operates under Curaçao licence OGL/2023/176/0095, held by Rollero Entertainment B.V. That licence binds us to the anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorism-financing rules of our licence jurisdiction, and we build our internal procedures around them. Our compliance team, led by our Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO), runs an ongoing risk-based programme: customer due diligence, transaction monitoring, suspicious activity reporting and staff training.
We will not accept funds we cannot reasonably trace, and we will not process withdrawals to accounts or wallets we cannot verify as yours. This protects you as much as it protects us. Criminals target gambling platforms precisely because deposits and withdrawals look like ordinary customer activity, and the only effective defence is systematic verification and monitoring.
When We Verify Your Identity
Verification triggers
We verify at three points: at registration, where we screen your details against sanctions and politically-exposed-person (PEP) lists; before your first withdrawal, where full document checks apply; and at any point a transaction or behaviour pattern raises a risk flag. Australian players should also be of legal gambling age in their jurisdiction before registering.
- Government-issued photo ID: passport, driver licence or national ID card
- Proof of address: utility bill, bank statement or council rates notice dated within the last 3 months
- Payment method verification: card photo showing the first six and last four digits, or a screenshot of your e-wallet or crypto wallet showing your name and wallet address
- Source of funds documentation, where required (see below)
How Verification Works
The process is deliberately short. Most players complete it inside fifteen minutes, and our compliance team reviews submissions within 24 to 48 hours. Upload documents directly through the secure verification portal in your account, never by email.
- 1. Log in and open the Verification section of your account
- 2. Photograph or scan each document so all four corners and all text are clearly visible
- 3. Upload the files through the encrypted portal
- 4. Our compliance team reviews and either approves or requests clarification, within 24 to 48 hours
- 5. You receive confirmation by email once verification is complete
How we protect your documents
Files are transmitted over TLS encryption, stored on access-restricted servers in the European Union, and reachable only by authorised compliance staff. We never share verification documents with third parties except where law or our regulator requires it. Originals can be deleted on written request once retention obligations are met.
When We Ask for Source of Funds
For most players, standard KYC is enough. We ask for source of funds evidence when the money moving through an account does not match what we would expect, or when cumulative deposits cross internal risk thresholds. Evidence can include recent payslips, a tax return or assessment notice, bank statements showing regular income, a signed sale contract for property or assets, or documentation of an inheritance or investment redemption.
We are not judging how you earn your money. We are confirming it comes from a legitimate activity, which is exactly what our licence obliges us to do. If you are ever unsure what to provide, contact our compliance team at [email protected] and we will tell you precisely what we need.
How We Monitor Transactions
Every deposit and withdrawal on our platform passes automated screening, and flagged activity goes to a human reviewer before funds move. We apply the same-method rule: withdrawals must generally return to the same card, wallet or account used for the deposit, which prevents funds passing through us as a laundering channel. Where you deposit with a method that cannot receive payouts, we pay out to a verified bank account in your own name.
Withdrawal limits are 8,000 AUD per day and 32,000 AUD per week. Requests above those limits are split across successive days. Unusual patterns, structured deposits just under a threshold, rapid deposit-withdrawal cycling with minimal play, or third-party payments all trigger enhanced review.
| Check | What we look for |
|---|---|
| Deposit screening | Third-party names, sanctions matches, structuring patterns |
| Withdrawal screening | Account ownership match, play-to-deposit ratio, risk flags |
| Same-method rule | Payouts return to the verified deposit source |
| Limits | 8,000 AUD daily, 32,000 AUD weekly |
If Verification Fails
If your documents are unclear, we ask for better copies first, and we tell you exactly what was wrong. If documents are missing, you get a reminder and a fourteen-day window to upload them before restrictions apply. If verification ultimately fails or documents appear fraudulent, we suspend the account, freeze any pending withdrawals and review the case under our AML procedures.
Where we have reasonable suspicion of money laundering or fraud, we are legally required to report to the relevant authorities and may be barred from telling you that a report was made. Frozen funds are either returned to a verified account in your name or handled as our regulator directs. You can appeal any decision by writing to [email protected].
How Long We Keep Records
We retain verification documents and transaction records for five years after your account closes, or five years after the last transaction, whichever is later. This is a regulatory requirement of our Curaçao licence and applies even to closed accounts. After the retention period expires, documents are securely and permanently deleted. You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you at any time under our privacy policy.
Frequently asked questions
How long does verification take at Rollero Casino?
Our compliance team reviews documents within 24 to 48 hours of upload. Most submissions are approved on the first pass if all corners and text are clearly visible.
Do I need to verify before depositing?
No. You can deposit and play after basic registration screening, but full document verification is required before your first withdrawal.
Why was my withdrawal sent back to my card instead of crypto?
We apply a same-method rule: payouts return to the verified source of deposits to prevent misuse of our platform as a payment channel.
What counts as proof of source of funds?
Payslips, tax assessments, bank statements showing regular income, sale contracts, or inheritance and investment documentation. We only ask for this when thresholds or patterns require it.
Can I delete my documents after verification?
We must retain verification records for five years after account closure under our licence obligations. After that period, files are securely and permanently deleted.
